Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I visit the Dentist and Dental Hygienist?

On average, we recommend having yearly check-ups with the Dentist and bi-yearly cleanings with the Dental Hygienist. Of course, every mouth is different and some people may require more frequent visits with their Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist. For example, people with gum disease may be recommended to return for cleanings every 3-4 months to maintain their oral health. Your Dentist and Dental Hygienist will determine what interval will best suit your dental needs.

How often should I brush and floss?

The Dental and Dental Hygiene Associations recommend brushing 2 times per day (once in the morning and once at night) for about 2 minutes, along with daily flossing. Again, every mouth is different and some people will need to brush and floss more, depending on their oral health. Your Dental Hygienist can provide further information and answer any questions you have about brushing and flossing.

We provide a very comprehensive first visit. We enjoy educating our patients and offering you the information and tools you will need to reach your dental goals.
